Candidates who have some previous flight experience can also join the Ryanair Mentored Programme and complete only its more advanced modules.

Gateway 1 Training programme is available for pilots who already have a PPL(A) license, some flight experience and the ATPL(A) theory exams passed and who wish to continue their commercial training under the Ryanair umbrella. They receive intensive CPL, IR, ME , AUPRT training according to Ryanair standard operating procedures and the course ends with an Airline Pilot Standard Multi-Crew Cooperation programme completed in a fixed base B737 simulator. The Gateway 1 course at Bartolini Air takes only about 4 months.

The next step is a Type Rating course, which is organized by Ryanair.

The requirements to enrol on the Ryanair Future Flyer Academy Gateway 1 programme are:

• Hold an unrestricted right to live and work in the EU, UK or Morocco
• Minimum age: 18 years
• Have at least a secondary education diploma
• Hold a PPL(A) license
• Have accomplished at least 150 hours of total flight time, out of which 100 hrs as PIC
• Have completed the ATPL(A) theoretical training and passed all the related exams within 36 months before the skill test
• Have accomplished over 50 hours of cross-country flight as Pilot-in-Command (PIC)
• Have completed a VFR cross-country flight as PIC, including a flight of at least 540 km (300 NM) in the course of which full stop landings at 2 different aerodromes were made
• Hold an EASA Class I medical certificate with no restrictions for IFR
• Hold a Night VFR rating (might be completed with Bartolini Air)
• Have passed the English ICAO proficiency exam for a minimum level 4
• Be able to produce a criminal record check (CRC) basic disclosure certificate

32 000 EUR – modular CPL, IR, ME (with AUPRT and APS MCC) at Bartolini Air

6 000 EUR – Boeing 737 Type Rating course with Buzz (the remaining 14 000 EUR is deducted from salary)

34 990 EUR – modular CPL, IR, ME (with AUPRT and APS MCC) at Bartolini Air and a bonded Type Rating course at Ryanair included.

49 990 EUR – modular CPL, IR, ME (with AUPRT and APS MCC) at Bartolini Air and a bonded Type Rating course at Ryanair included.
