Ryanair Future Flyer Academy – AB Initio
AB Initio Poland, Czech and Hungary / EU, UK and Morocco
The Ryanair Future Flyer Academy – Ab Initio is completed as a single training course where you start with zero experience as a pilot and devote virtually all your time to the training for approximately 18 to 21 months. You finish the course at Bartolini Air with the so-called Frozen ATPL licence and you are ready to complete the Type Rating course, which is held at Ryanair.
In order to join the programme, the applicants have to pass an initial psychotechnical assessment at Bartolini Air. This assessment is split into 3 stages and its purpose is to maximise candidates’ chance of a successful completion of the demanding training programme and get a job with Ryanair at the end.
The integrated ATPL training at Bartolini Air comprises 880 hours of classroom theory delivered by our team of highly skilled instructors, and aviation experts including active Ryanair pilots and aircraft engineers over a period of approximately 6 months. The students are immersed with a strictly professional Ryanair training environment and the instructors are dedicated to thoroughly preparing students not only for the ATPL theory examinations but also the reality of aviation training, and later, a flying career with our airline partner.
Once the ATPL theory exams are passed the practical training starts. This stage is split into 6 phases with increasing training complexity. All the phases are based on Ryanair procedures and requirements. The final stage is conducted in a Boeing 737 fixed-base simulator and it will prepare the students to fly a heavy jet in a multi-crew environment using realistic Ryanair line procedures.
In-between, you will master all other skills necessary to become a successful professional pilot – from operating multi-engine aircraft to flying solely according to instruments. We employ a team of experienced and dedicated instructors and all the flight training is completed in brand new Tecnam piston aircraft (no more than 5 years old) equipped with glass cockpit and the latest Garmin avionics. The practical training comprises of 230 hours of flight time and takes approximately 12 months.
Upon completion of the Ryanair Future Flyer Academy at Bartolini Air, you will have obtained a Commercial pilot license with Multi-Engine and Instrument ratings and completed an Airline Pilot Standard Multi-Crew Cooperation course (APS MCC) as well as advanced Upset Prevention and Recovery Training.
The next step is a Type Rating course, which is organized by Ryanair.
