FAQ

To apply for the Ryanair Future Flyer Academy Programme, the candidate must meet the following requirements:

1. A minimum of 18 years of age
2. A good level of English – All training conducted in English
3. The ability to obtain an EASA Class 1 medical
4. Hold an EU passport with the unrestricted right to live and work in the EU or hold a valid UK passport
5. To be able to produce a criminal record check (CRC) basic disclosure certificate

To be able to demonstrate successful completion of secondary or high school education (or equivalent)

The requirements to start Gateway 1 of Ryanair Future Flyer Academy are:

• PPL(A) with valid SEP(L)
• EASA ATPL theory subjects passed and valid
• NVFR (can be done with us during the course)
• Medical Class 1 EASA
• 150 hours TT + 100PIC while starting the course (there are no PIC hours in the training)
• ICAO English Proficiency Level – minimum Level 4
• Cross country of 300NM (with stops in 2 different aerodromes)
• to complete the initial assessment

The application and assessment consist of three stages:

• Verification of documents and suitability to join the programme; review of the filled-in Ryanair Future Flyer Academy application form
• Online psychometric and aptitude testing (cut-e test)
• The final assessment day is held at our headquarters in Lodz. It consists of the Math and Physics test, evaluation of English language proficiency, group exercise, an individual interview with an aviation psychologist as well as the simulator assessment

The total cost of the assessment is €320 and it is divided into two parts. The assessment cost is non-refundable.

1st stage – 120 EUR, due before the online assessment.

2nd stage (paid if the 1st stage is successfully passed) – 200 EUR due before starting the assessment day

To apply for the programme, you must have completed all ATPL exams.

It is preferable to fulfil all the requirements of Gateway 1 before making the initial application. However, it is possible to apply for Gateway 1 without having completed the required flight time, provided that the student achieves the required flight hours and produces a copy of his logbook to confirm that the minimum requirements are met before the commencement of the training.

Once you are shortlisted to proceed to the online assessment stage, the process starts immediately upon receiving the payment for the Cut-e test.

The final assessment stage at Bartolini Air is usually scheduled depending on the number of applicants and their availability. We usually organize one or two final assessment days monthly.

There might be a possibility of repeating the assessment; however, it is entirely at the school’s discretion and will depend on a particular case. Please note that a second assessment is not guaranteed. The assessment result is valid for six months.

We neither collect nor share that data. Our focus is on identifying motivated prospective students and evaluating each one individually.

The Price of the training is 49,990 EUR.

The price of the training is 34,900 EUR for candidates eligible to live and work in the UK (including those who hold pre-settled status).

Upon passing the initial assessment with Bartolini Air and enrolling in the training, you will receive a conditional Job Offer Letter directly from Ryanair.

Ryanair Future Flyer Academy students are eligible for Type Rating with no additional fees or salary deductions.

The student signs a training contract with Bartolini Air and receives a Conditional Job Offer from Ryanair. Upon completion of the training with Bartolini Air, an assessment with Ryanair is organized, after which the student signs the 737 Type Rating training contract with Ryanair. After completing Type and Line Training, the student and Ryanair will sign the work contract.

The initial assessment helps to ensure a 98% pass rate at the final Ryanair Cadet assessment. In the off-chance that the student fails at the final Ryanair assessment, comprehensive feedback is provided to the partner ATO’s Head of Training and, subject to approval, additional training and support will be provided without additional costs to the student before completing a 2nd assessment with Ryanair, as soon as possible

The price includes flight training on both SEP(L) and MEP(L), brush-up theoretical courses (IR preparation, Multi-Engine, UPRT) and 80 hours of simulator training. Additionally, you will be provided with a uniform, High Visibility vest, QRH ME, QRH SE, VFR charts, and access to our online record-keeping system, online manuals and materials for examination preparation, and the industry-leading Ryanair SOPs.

Boeing 737 Type Rating is organized directly by Ryanair.

At Ryanair Future Flyer Academy, we take responsibility for any additional time you require throughout your training. Thus, if you pass the initial assessment and are accepted for the Programme, you will not need to pay for any additional training if you are fully available throughout the training.

The training does not include fees for the Civil Aviation Authority, costs related to the final exam, aircraft rental fees for the skill test, or accommodation costs.

We cooperate with Basecamp – most of our students stay in this accommodation. 

The duration of Gateway 1 training is relatively short, usually taking three to four months. Therefore, it is not possible to pay in instalments; training must be paid before commencement.

The ME+CPL+IR together with APS MCC and AUPRT will take up to 6 month.

The duration of the training depends on prevailing weather conditions, individual student predispositions and training progression, and other factors.

Ryanair organizes Boeing 737 Type Rating after passing the final Ryanair Assessment. It usually takes 2-3 months to complete.

Students signing agreements with Ryanair are usually bonded for 4 or 5 years.

Ryanair Future Flyer Academy students are eligible for Type Rating with no additional fees or salary deductions.

All the training is provided at our headquarters in Łódź (EPLL) and other training bases.

The training programme is structured in a manner that requires the cadet’s full availability.

Our students apply for EU funding from programs such as inwestujwrozwoj.pl ,  open.frp.pl .

These are interest-free loans, with partial cancellation after completing the training.

All successful “Mentored Students” can avail of exclusive access to a fast-tracked recruitment process. Students will be at a distinct advantage at the guaranteed Ryanair assessment as all previous training is in line with Ryanair SOPs. All successful candidates at the final Ryanair assessment will be offered a place on a B737 Type Rating course and subsequent employment with Ryanair.

The APS MCC is specifically designed to address the areas where new pilots often struggle during airline assessments. This program places a greater emphasis on knowledge, manual handling, and Crew Resource Management (CRM) all of which are trained and assessed using the ICAO pilot Core Competencies. Additionally, the APS MCC ensures that the training is conducted on a simulator that accurately represents a real airline environment which is not a requirement in the standard MCC.

The APS MCC course spans approximately 24-25 days. Practical simulator training accounts for 40 hours, typically spread over 19 days. Theoretical training lasts about 9 days, with some off days included during the course.

The APS MCC course includes enhanced CRM, meteorology, flight planning, fuel planning, and other essential knowledge areas for aspiring airline pilots. The simulator training focuses on core competencies such as flight management and automation, situational awareness, problem-solving and decision-making, manual handling, and advanced handling techniques. Upon successful completion of the APS MCC course, you will be awarded a Certificate of Course Completion which is widely recognized in the aviation industry.
