Psycho-Technical Assessment
In order to join the programme, applicants have to pass an initial psycho-technical assessment at Bartolini Air. This assessment is split into 3 stages and aims to maximise candidates’ chances of successfully completing the demanding training programme and getting a job with Ryanair at the end.
Comprehensive ATPL Training
The integrated ATPL training at Bartolini Air comprises 880 hours of classroom theory delivered by our team of highly skilled instructors, and aviation experts including active Ryanair pilots and aircraft engineers over approximately 6 – 8 months. The students are immersed in a strictly professional Ryanair training environment, and the instructors are dedicated to thoroughly preparing students not only for the ATPL theory examinations but also for the reality of aviation training and, later, a flying career with our airline partner.
The practical training
Once the ATPL theory exams are passed, the practical training starts. This stage is split into 6 phases with increasing training complexity. All the phases are based on Ryanair procedures and requirements. The final stage is conducted in a Boeing 737 fixed-base simulator and it will prepare the students to fly a heavy jet in a multi-crew environment using realistic Ryanair line procedures.
Additionally
In between, you will master all other skills necessary to become a successful professional pilot – from operating multi-engine aircraft to flying solely according to instruments. We employ a team of experienced and dedicated instructors, and all the flight training is completed in brand new Tecnam piston aircraft (no more than 5 years old) equipped with glass cockpit and the latest Garmin avionics. The practical training comprises of 230 hours of flight time and takes approximately 12 months.
